The Epicentre of Resistance
The Crucible: Baljeet Nagar
To understand the power of Aparajita, one must understand where its roots break through the stone. Sprawling precariously across the steep slopes and rocky cliffs of the West Delhi ridge, Baljeet Nagar is a vertical labyrinth of over one hundred and fifty thousand residents. Born from old stone quarries, this dense settlement forces families to live in unventilated, tiny single-room spaces completely bypassing municipal infrastructure.
In this harsh environment, women have historically borne the heaviest structural, economic, and emotional weight. Lacking municipal pipelines, women queue for hours and carry heavy plastic jerrycans up steep, wet, rocky inclines, causing chronic health issues. The total lack of private household toilets forces a daily sanitation indignity that compromises their safety and personal dignity. For decades, a lack of formal education restricted local women to underpaid, unprotected informal labor. Baljeet Nagar is our starting point because it is where the need for sovereign reclamation is greatest.
From Shadows to Sovereignty
Aparajita changes this script entirely, turning a landscape of survival into a powerhouse of self-reliance. We have established a sacred, dignified cooperative workspace right in the heart of the community. Here, the resilient women of Baljeet Nagar are trained as master artisans in the artful formulation and packaging of our natural, organic healing incense. Handled with mindfulness and dignity, each package they prepare becomes a physical vessel of their reclaimed power.
While our founders Dev and Leena Empress established this entire ecosystem from its inception, the complete day-to-day operations, grassroots growth, and global outreach are now managed entirely from A to Z by Khushi. Under her leadership, and with the continuous spiritual and strategic backup of our founders, the women of Baljeet Nagar are no longer recipients of charity—they are the owners of their destiny. The very tools used to cleanse and elevate your spiritual spaces are the ones lifting these families out of hardship.
